A few years ago, during some particular rough times, I started putting together a collection of the most powerful, beautiful, haunting music that channeled my feelings of sadness, frustration, angst, and anger. I looked all over the internet to find a great "Sad Songs" or "Angsty Songs" list, but didn't find anything particularly impressive, so I decided to start my own. This stuff is great on any day, but as I see it, the ability to truly appreciate great sad music is the one singular redeeming feature about being down in the dumps. So if you're blue, find this stuff - it helps to know that other people have been there too...
